OBX Hugs .. Poetry from the Outer Banks of North Carolina
Life Reflections and Inspirations by Angie Brady-Daniels
The Outer Banks of NC is a place resplendent with beauty, and encourages its inhabitants to connect with the inherent beauty inside each and every one of us. Explorers find beacons of light contained within our coastal Lighthouses, power in the wild horses roaming freely, boundlessness with the seagulls and diverse bird population taking flight, and a cornucopia of color and form in the gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. The cycles of nature reminds us of life’s beginnings and endings and helps us pay tribute to our struggles and triumphs along the way.
The purpose of the OBX HUGZ website is to encourage and acknowledge one another’s journey through life’s peaks and valleys. My goal is to help you to express your compassion, love and high regard to the important others in your life. The site contains verses for celebrations such as new births, graduations, love and marital commitments. A Mother's Love
Dedicated to My Mother, Linda Brady of
Seagrove, NC. Thanks for loving me,
mom!
To know the pain before it's felt,
To dry a tear before it's cried,
To know you always have a friend,
Who will be there by your side.
To give when nothing's left to give,
Asking nothing in return,
That's a mother's loving instinct,
That which makes her love so firm.
And after all is said and done,
When you've failed or succeeded,
A mother's arms are there to hold you
She'll give you what you need.
There's no other one on earth,
Who will do so much for you.
Be a friend and advisor
Stand by you your whole life through.
